The ABC+ Cutting and Colouring Hair The Sassoon Way series is a new learning concept from Sassoon Academy. The series contains 18 exciting cut and colour techniques that have been developed by the Sassoon creative and colour teams.

The shortest of the A+ series featuring a slim boyish shape with scissor over comb techniques and strips of disconnected length to diffuse the silhouette. The shape is complemented by a vibrant blend of foiled red tones that add texture and movement.

A delightfully close-cropped shape that uses both convex and square layering, as well as intricate disconnection and freehand point cutting. The shape is complemented by gentle tones of blonde, applied in areas that softly accentuate the cut.

A intricate gamine shape that uses the face as an architectural frame for the cut with disconnected layering and freehand techniques. The look is complemented by a freehand comb on colour application in subdued tones that gently accentuate the cut.

A+ 4 ANTONIA is a head hugging layered shape that uses the Sassoon heritage layered look. The Mouche as its inspiration. The texture of the cut is complemented by an alternating colour application that combines both weaved and sliced sections.

A+ 5 LYDIA is a gently graduated shape that works into a layered interior, finishing with a crisp line that accentuates bone structure. To delicately enhance the dynamics of the cut, a classic weaved and sliced colour is applied in natural tones.

A+ 6 WERONIKA features a unique double bias where the long front and interior surface length wrap around the head. The cut is accentuated by a striking application that diffuses through the cut, which changes depending on the way the hair is worn.

B+ 1 ELLEN features a graduated line through the edge, a deep fringe and a concealed panel of graduated length through the interior. The cut is accentuated by a bi-level application in complementary tones of red with a pre lightened panel.

A mid-length, concealed layered shape inside a classically rounded graduated balance. After gently pre lightening, the shape is complemented by an understated colour application in blonde tones, applied with weaved and classic tint sections.

A graduated shape that frames the face with a curved, reverse layered line, cut with a combination of technical and freehand techniques from the bridge of the nose into a square shape through the back. The cut is accentuated by a bi-level application

A mid-length graduated shape that frames the face with a reverse layered sectioning pattern that removes weight but retains exterior length. The shape is complemented by a three-tone colour application that is carefully placed to accentuate.

A softly layered shape through the front with reverse layered panels and a gentle weight build up through the back. The shape is complemented by an innovative colour application in natural tones, applied with weaved and sliced sections.

B+ 6 GRACE features a mid-length, concealed layered shape inside a classic square bob balance. After gently pre-lightening, the shape is complemented by an understated colour application in blonde tones, applied with weaved and classic tint sections.

C+ 1 YASMIN is a reverse layered shape that maximises the natural texture with an innovative and methodical sectioning pattern, complemented by a colour technique designed to accentuate individual curls and accurately placed to enhance the balance.

A layered look that is achieved with an innovative cut that has carefully selected panels of hair that together create a proportioned shape. This is complemented by an innovative sliced and weaved two tone tint application that blends through.

A shoulder skimming layered shape that is cut by reverse layering, disconnection, and concealed layering. The shape is complemented by an innovative root melt colour application that blends down the hair to accentuate the length of the cut.

A longer layered shape that uses a highly effective pivoting sectioning pattern which is combined with a disconnected edge, creating a shape with relaxed appeal. The shape is complemented by an innovative face framing two tone colour application.

A concealed layered shape including areas of disconnected length through the underneath, creating texture, movement and lightness. Combined with a weaved and sliced two tone application that frames the bone structure and adds interest to the layering.

An innovative layering technique that has huge commercial appeal. The layering exists only through the underneath to give the illusion of a one length look. The colour is a face framing halo of blonde, combined with the models natural colour.
